How do courage and fear coexist?
The Meditative Moment
When we experience anxiety, we think we’re not brave. But sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is to feel the fear. Take a moment to stand today. Notice your feet on the earth. Step your right foot forward. Take a deep inhale through the nose and exhale out the mouth. Step the left foot forward. Deep inhale and exhale. Repeat—perhaps even around the block. To move forward, both feet have to move. Sometimes one is ahead of the other, but through balance, we progress. So too with courage and fear.
