Take a few minutes today to do a body scan. Sit or lay down. Close your eyes or soften your gaze. Beginning at the crown of your head, bring your attention to your body: temples, eyes, nose, jaw, throat, heart center, shoulders, upper arms, forearms, hands, abdomen, pelvis, hips, thighs, knees, feet. As you move your attention through your body, notice any tension you find in various spots. Can you soften that tension? If not, can you breathe into the potential of releasing the tension? Try not to judge the tension; merely observe it. Then attempt to let it go.
