How can you offer grace to yourself today?

We tend to be fairly good at being understanding toward others when they are struggling. We tend to be horrible at being understanding toward ourselves when we struggle. Take a moment to sit quietly today and consider what gentleness, kindness, and grace you need. Open your arms out wide. Inhale and bring your hands to your heart (either in prayer or one hand on top of the other over your heart). Exhale and expand the arms out. Inhale hands to heart and imagine kindness beamed to you. Exhale arms out, releasing judgment. Inhale hands to heart, sweeping goodness your way. Hold your hands here for a moment, returning to your natural breath, and then go about your day.
